Empowering Youth- Driving Change
A Proven Legacy of Hope
For over 10 years, the Kiiti Kamba Foundation (KKF) has transformed the lives of deserving but underprivileged children in Makueni and Machakos Counties through bursaries and scholarships. We’ve walked with students from primary school to college—restoring dreams and rekindling hope. Now, we’re ready to take the next bold step to address another urgent need among our youth.

Introducing : 60 by 60 - Driving Hope Forward!
We’ve recently launched the ‘60 by 60’ campaign—an inspiring initiative to equip 60 young men and women from Makueni County with driving licenses (both small vehicle and truck) and life skills training. Why? Because far too many youth—especially young men—are dropping out of school, losing direction, and facing rising despair. Through this campaign, KKF wants to change the narrative.
What the Program Offers
With our trusted local driving school partner, each participant will complete a program to obtain both small vehicle and truck licenses. But it doesn’t stop there. They will also receive mentorship in life skills, education, mental health, and community leadership. The goal? Not just employability—but dignity, confidence, and hope.
The Impact on Youth
Upon completion, we will help connect these youth to job opportunities with businesses and institutions already identified. We believe this initiative is a launchpad — opening doors to employment, entrepreneurship, and renewed self- worth.
The First Cohort Begins with 15 Enthusiastic Learners
The first cohort of 15 out of school youth—including two young ladies—was launched recently. The group is now going onto their third week of classes and I got to learn and ride with them this past week! The experience—a little scary since they all seem to be fast drivers—but they are learning well.
The Mutisya Driving School has great facilities and vehicles to offer an excellent experience for the youth! They learn both theory—mainly inside on boards—and then they get out and put it into practice (see photos above).
Mentorship is central to this initiative. The driving school trainers have agreed to mentor the youth during the program. We have a project coordinator (photo on right) that follows up with the students, their parents/families, and local community leaders who played a key role in recommending the youth for this initiative.
