It is with great sadness that KKF announces the death of Peter Mumo. Mumo passed away after an emergency medical procedure at Kijabe Hospital. Prior to his death, Mumo was working at Rift Valley Academy (RVA) as an IT Specialist. One of the RVA teachers explained how Mumo was always ready to assist her with any IT needs. She emphasized how Mumo ‘made her classroom work.’
KKF has had a long relationship with Mumo. The Foundation sponsored him throughout his academic program at Machakos University where he studied Information Technology (IT). Additionally, Mumo was a leader for the KKKF ICT Networking Group, started by the Foundation, to help link current students with alumni for professional mentorship. Mumo was the ultimate, effective mentor to younger KKF students. He leaves behind his new wife, Alexandria, and a very young daughter named Ayanna. Rest in Peace, Mumo. Your quiet demeanor and unassuming personality, paired with your leadership ability, will be greatly missed.
